The Recording Industry Association of Japan announced the music recording certifications for the month of July 2018, and BTS' album Love Yourself: Tear has been certified Gold.

Music CDs with over 100,000 shipments are officially certificated as a "Gold Disc" in Japan.

The achievement is yet another addition to the group's ever-growing list of accolades. The septet will kick off their sold-out Love Yourself world tour Aug. 25. The North American leg of the tour will end with the group’s first-ever stadium show in the U.S., which will also be a first for any Korean act. The group also recently announced their first Japanese dome tour, starting in November.

The K-pop superstars became the first Korean act to top the Billboard 200 in May. The music video for "Fake Love" has racked up over 265 million views on YouTube.

Their highly anticipated new album, Love Yourself: Answer, will drop Aug. 24, and pre-orders in South Korea zoomed past 1.5 million units in a week. Pre-orders have started in Japan as well at the Universal Music Store and BTS Japan Official Fanclub, and the album will come with special bonuses at each retailer.
