Electric Daisy Carnival, one of the biggest dance music festivals in the world, found its way into China and attracted over 10,000 EDM fans to celebrate in Shanghai with the first-ever EDC China. Billboard Radio China caught up with the rising British duo Snakehips backstage to talk about their new EP and first EDC China experience.

Coming over straight from California's Coachella festival, Snakehips (Oliver Lee and James Carter) is definitely hitting it hard on the road and landing performances worldwide. When talking about the most rewarding part of touring and making music, Snakehips gave all the credit to the fans: "Being in front of so many people who know your songs and like what you did is amazing … and the Asian fans definitely scream a lot more; there's much more energy in China.”

Besides touring, the British duo also maintains a very busy studio schedule, rolling out hit after hit, including their latest EP, Stay Home Tapes, featuring signature soul and old-school hip-hop. "It's all about the vibes," they said.

As they talk about how to work as a duo group, James and Oliver also shared one secret about each other: James is a big fan of Zelda and is a master in playing the ocarina, while Oliver's exceptionally tolerant with alcohol.

Snakehips will come back to Asia in September and October for more tours to share their EP and new music.

In the interview, they also shared their great condolences for the passing of Avicii, expressing respect for his dedication and music that changed many people's lives.
