Hot on the heels of their own apparel line, BABYMETAL announced the launch of a new record label in the U.S.

"BABYMETAL has built a new partnership with 5B Management and Records, a leading global music, events and marketing firm, who manage well-known artists such as SLIPKNOT and MEGADETH," the Japanese rock idols announced on social media.

They added that the new label will be established with 5B and Cooking Vinyl, a U.K.-based independent label "who has handled the release of prestigious artists such as Marilyn Manson and The Prodigy."

"BABYMETAL is a genre in itself," said Bob Johnson, vice president of 5B Management and Records announcing the launch. "BABYMETAL fans around the world are enthusiastic and transcend generations, gender and culture. And the one thing they have in common is that they're hooked on BABYMETAL. We're looking forward to spreading this sensation around the world."

Howie Gabriel, president of Cooking Vinyl America, noted that the label has a 30-year history of working globally, with offices in London, Melbourne and New York. "We look forward to contributing to BABYMETAL's international breakthrough together with 5B," Gabriel added.

BABYMETAL kicked off their world tour Tuesday (May 8). Also, a graphic novel featuring the trio, APOCRYPHA: THE LEGEND OF BABYMETAL, will be published in October by Z2 Comics, an independent publisher specializing in music-related graphic novels.
