J-pop group GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE concluded its first tour of China called GENERATIONS CHINA TOUR 2018 "MAD CYCLONE" on Sunday (March 18) at the Shanghai Majestic Theatre.

The vocal and dance group brought its domestic arena concerts by the same name from last year to its fans in China, drawing an attendance of 15,000 to the three-city, nine-concert trek. The relatively more compact venues in Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai allowed for each of the seven members to get closer to their Chinese fans.

The 20 songs in the set were performed in Japanese, but the members made an effort to communicate with fans using both English and Chinese. The sold-out crowds went wild for the group's frenetic choreography and exceptional showmanship.

Over 300 fans greeted the members every time they arrived at each local airport, reflecting the group's popularity, but the member who currently enjoys the highest profile in China is singer Ryota Katayose, who starred in the popular live-action drama series and movie My Brother Loves Me Too Much. His official Weibo account, which was started in February, already has more than 660,000 followers.

Back home in Japan, GENERATIONS will kick off their 2018 tour, UNITED JOURNEY, in May. The group's first domestic dome tour will open May 12 at Nagoya Dome and finish Aug. 5 at Tokyo Dome after performing a total of 10 concerts in four cities across the country.
