MONDO GROSSO, the solo project of Japanese DJ and record producer Shinichi Osawa, will be releasing a new album March 21 called Attune/Detune.

The new album comes less than a year after MONDO GROSSO's first new album in 14 years, released last June.

Attune/Detune will include a cover of "Wakusei Tantora" by the lyricist and co-producer of the song, Etsuko Yakushimaru (credited as Tica ?) of the band Sotaisei Riron. The dreamy original version was included in the previous album and featured vocals by Asuka Saito of the popular girl group Nogizaka46.

Yakushimaru brought in the three other members of Sotaisei Riron (Japanese for "Theory of Relativity") -- Seiichi Nagai (guitar), Masaru Yoshida (bass), and Motoki Yamaguchi (drums) -- to perform her band version of the song.

Also, two versions of the Spotify-exclusive release "Kemuri" featuring vocals by ACO will be included in the new album. An English cover of the song written and performed by RHYME will be included along with the original version.

The Attune/Detune CD will contain seven tracks, and the CD&DVD package will come with music videos of seven songs including the mesmerizing "single-take" visuals of MONDO GROSSO's comeback single "Labyrinth" from last year, featuring the actress/singer Hikari Mitsushima dancing her way through the maze-like Hong Kong market.
