Argentine singer-songwriter <a href="/music/Gustavo-Santaolalla">Gustavo Santaolalla</a> released a revamped version on his 1982 tune "Compañeros del Sendero."

"And now, as a small gift for the end of the year and start of a new one, a recent version of a song that first saw the light in the album Santaolalla [1982]. The song is 'Compañeros del Sendero' [Partners of the Path], and in this opportunity, it was recorded in Mendoza and in Los Angeles with the Santabanda, [Barbarita Palacios, Javier Casalla, Nicolás Rainone, Andrés Beeuwsaert and Pablo González]. I hope you like it and that it helps start 2018 with the best vibes of love, peace, tolerance, action, harmony and understanding."

Earlier this year, Santaolalla released Raconto, a live album with cuts from his entire career. It was produced by him and Anibal Kerpel, his longtime producer, who gave the record a special treatment for vinyl release at the La Casa de la Ciudad studio in Los Angeles.

Santaolalla recently told Billboard Argentina about the current state of his projects: "The Arrabal show spent a month playing in Boston, always packed and to great reviews, so we've been working to take it to New York in 2018. I've finished working on the music of the Cirque Du Soleil show based on Pan's Labyrinth, and we are currently searching for a director.

"The Last of Us 2 video game is going very well, but I can't talk much about it. I am currently mixing the music of a documentary on Clapton, for which I recorded some strings with David Campbell, <a href="/music/Beck">Beck</a>'s father. And we'll be recording more with <a href="/music/Bajofondo">Bajofondo</a>."
