Japanese singer LiSA performed her first-ever acoustic live concert in Taiwan at the Legacy Max in Taipei on Saturday (Dec. 9). The 1,400 tickets to see her live sold out immediately, reflecting the popularity of the anime and game song vocalist known for her opening themes to such animated series as Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online and Nisekoi.

The enthusiastic local fans who flocked to see her despite the unusually cold day were treated to an acoustic set rarely seen in her more elaborate domestic arena concerts. Backed only by an acoustic guitar and keyboard, the "Oath Sign" singer captivated the crowd with her intimate 16-song set, displaying her vocal finesse and charm throughout the evening.

When the audience called her back for an encore, she delighted them with a Chinese version of her hit song "Catch the Moment," and picked up an acoustic guitar to play a warm rendition of "ONLY≠LONELY" for her local admirers.

Toward the end of the show, she eagerly announced that she would be coming back to Taiwan next summer during her trek through Asia, LiVE is Smile Always: ASiA TOUR 2018. Beginning with two shows in June at the historic Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, the tour includes stops in Singapore (July 21), Hong Kong (Aug. 11) and Taiwan (Aug. 18), with more international dates to be announced later.

After dropping the welcome news, LiSA closed the performance on a high note with her popular track "Rising Hope," the audience singing joyfully along in unison.

LiSA released her fourth album, Little Devil Parade, in May, and her latest single, "ASH," the opener for the animated series Fate/Apocrypha, was released Nov. 29.
