The Japanese boy band Kanjani Eight's latest single, "Outou Seyo," bows at No. 1 on the latest Billboard Japan Hot 100 dated Nov. 13 to 19 after selling 233,435 physical copies in its first week. The theme song for the movie Dorobou Yakusha starring member Ryuhei Maruyama showed strength in the physical metrics of the chart's methodology, coming in at No. 1 for physical sales, No. 2 for look-ups, No. 8 for Twitter mentions and No. 14 for radio airplay.

Debuting at No. 2 this week is the opening number of the anime series Idol Master Side M, "Reason!!" by the fictional boy band 315 STARS. The single came in at No. 2 for physical sales after selling 65,345 CDs and also did well overall -- No. 5 for look-ups, No. 9 for downloads and No. 22 for Twitter -- but not enough to overtake Kanjani Eight's lead in physical sales points.

The three-member rock band UNISON SQUARE GARDEN released "Invisible Sensation" and "fake town baby" a week apart, and the songs are charting at No. 7 and No. 10 respectively. Both are anime openers, the former for Welcome to the Ballroom and the latter for Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond. "Invisible Sensation" came in at No. 1 for downloads after the digital version was released and also gained in Twitter mentions this week, pushing it up two notches from No. 9 to No. 7. "fake town baby" debuted in the top 10 propelled by physical sales (No. 6), look-ups (No. 6), and radio airplay (No. 10), and is expected to rise further after the digital version is released next week.

Yoko Oginome is still enjoying her comeback to the J-pop mainstream with her disco hit "Dancing Hero." The veteran pop singer appeared on the long-running live music program Music Station with the dancing high school girls who made her '80s song popular again, and their delightful performance boosted weekly video views by 42 percent from 2,241,519
times last week to 3,176,652 times this week. The song rose from No. 4 to No. 2 for video views, from No. 27 to No. 15 for downloads, from No. 37 to No. 24 for streaming, and from No. 93 to No. 32 for Twitter, lifting it again from No. 20 to No. 12 on the Japan Hot 100.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups and audio streams from Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOK, LINE MUSIC, Rakuten Music, Recochoku provided by Gfk Japan, as well as streaming counts based on lyrics displayed on PetitLyrics.
