Arashi Rises to No. 1 on Japan Hot 100; Kenshi Yonezu and Masaki Suda Top Downloads

<a href="/music/Arashi">Arashi</a>'s new single, "Doors (Yuuki No Kiseki)," takes the No. 1 spot on the latest Billboard Japan Hot 100 dated Nov. 6 to 12, after selling 596,666 physical copies in its first week.

The theme song for an ongoing TV drama series starring member Sho Sakurai sold over 200,000 more copies than their last single ("Tsunagu," 414,810 copies) and the one before that ("I'll Be There," 424,861 copies) in their respective first week of sales. The five-member Johnny's boy band came in at No. 1 for physical sales and look-ups and No. 3 for Twitter mentions, shooting it to the top of this week's Japan Hot 100.

Debuting at No. 2 this week is Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku's "Sing a long. Sing a Song," which came in at No. 2 for physical sales (74,591 copies) and accumulated points in other metrics in a balanced way, namely No. 8 for Twitter and No. 11 for look-ups.

Though the song drops a notch this week to No. 3 on the Japan Hot 100, <a href="/music/TWICE">TWICE</a>'s "LIKEY" holds onto No. 1 for video views (over 8.1 million) and Twitter mentions.

<a href="/music/Kenshi-Yonezu">Kenshi Yonezu</a> still has seven songs charting on this week's Japan Hot 100, with two in the top 10. "Haiiro to Ao" featuring actor Masaki Suda is at No. 5, ruling the downloads metric for the second week in a row. The former chart topper "Uchiage Hanabi" with <a href="/music/daoko">DAOKO</a> is still going strong at No. 6, maintaining its position at either No. 1 or 2 in streaming for 13 consecutive weeks.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups and audio streams from Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOK, LINE MUSIC, Rakuten Music, Recochoku provided by Gfk Japan, as well as streaming counts based on lyrics displayed on PetitLyrics.
