Kana Nishino Previews New Single at Dome Tour, Album to Arrive in November
Japanese pop songstress Kana Nishino, who is celebrating her 10th year since her debut, announced the release of a new single, "Te Wo Tsunagu Riyuu," on Oct. 18 and a new album, Love It, on Nov. 15.
The 28-year-old singer-songwriter also kicked off her first domestic dome tour Kana Nishino Dome Tour 2017 "Many Thanks" on Saturday (Aug. 26) at Kyosera Dome in Osaka.
She played two shows over the weekend in Osaka and will be playing two more at Tokyo Dome in September, which makes her the youngest solo female artist to hold concerts in these two venues.
The concept of the tour is a garden party. In order to create a homey feel to convey her appreciation to her dedicated fans, many of whom are teenaged girls, she extended a runway in the image of a footpath from the main stage decorated like a lush garden and also used a moving stage so her performance could be seen up close.
She also introduced more stage outfits in this tour than ever before, and succeeded in creating a buoyant, welcoming atmosphere to celebrate her anniversary year with her young fans.
She performed her upcoming single, "Te Wo Tsunagu Riyuu," for the first time at her Osaka show, to the joy of 35,000 fans in attendance.
It's a heartwarming love song fitting for the coming fall and winter seasons, and she explained to her fans that it "reflects my love for making music that I've continued to this day, the gratitude I feel towards everyone who gave me their support over the years, and my wish to always cherish this connection I have with you."
