Watch Nacho's Sexy, Silly New 'Teddy' Video Featuring Kevin Roldan
Starting a solo project after you're already a known artist comes with different characteristics: Expectations from the original fans, reflections about your image and sound, reception about your work, and confidence of everything you will do as an artist.
That's kind of the deal for Chino & Nacho, the most successful duet from Venezuela, who achieved many international awards, singles, music videos and albums all across the continent. Since the duo parted ways in February, both are building their solo careers.
Now performing as Chyno Miranda, he made it with a musical biopic film "El Malquerido" as historical bolero singer-songwriter Felipe Pirela. He also released the recent single "Quedate Conmigo" with rapper Wisin featuring Gente de Zona, and "Hasta El Ombligo" featuring Zion & Lennox.
But Nacho has another concept in his hands. His recent song "Bailame" is at 21 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. And, he just released a new video for the single "Teddy" with Colombian singer Kevin Roldan.
Less romantic, "Teddy" is a more provocative song that starts to complete the image of Nacho as a performer and create an idea of what he's up to on his upcoming debut album. Watch the video below.
This single follows the success of "Bailame," a song that the Venezuelan singer refers to as an experience of "not depending on anyone, being completely free."
Quite a reflection from an artist who led the protests in April, when he came to Caracas and came close to the national guard to express the intention of the Venezuelan public after more than 100 days of protests. Meanwhile, Nacho debates openly through social media statements about the crisis in Venezuela, and performs all over the world with recent hits and successful collaborations.
