Arashi's 'Tsunagu' Connects at No. 1 on Billboard Japan Top Singles Sales Chart

Arashi's "Tsunagu" blasts in at No. 1 by a huge margin on the latest Billboard Japan Top Singles Sales Chart, dated June 26 to July 2.

The single for "Tsunagu," the theme song for the movie Shinobi no Kuni, starring the popular boy band leader Satoshi Ohno, was released to coincide with the film's premiere in domestic theaters Saturday (July 1), and sold 310,318 copies in the first three days alone.

It went to mark 414,810 in the week ending July 2 after the group promoted the song on TV and other media, landing them at No. 1 by a substantial margin over the No. 2 spot this week.

No. 2 was a much closer race between Super Dragon's "Wacha-Gacha!" (49,980) and Maneki-kecak's "Dodemo Iiya / Arikitari na kotoba de" (49,661), with the boy band nosing out by 319 copies.
