Carrie Underwood is about to get into the spirit of the season with her first-ever holiday special! She unveiled the trailer on Monday (Nov. 30), and it's sure to be a merry time.

The country star will be starring in the HBO Max special on Dec. 3 to celebrate the release of her holiday album, My Gift, which was released Sept. 25 via Capitol Records Nashville.

During the special, the American Idol champ will perform with a live orchestra and backing choir, belting out a variety of traditional holiday hymns along with more original songs off her LP.

"The journey of writing and recording this album started last year when I finished my tour and we could have never anticipated the circumstances we would be in this year," Underwood said in an initial statement about the upcoming program. "Creating this album has been good for my heart, and I’m thrilled to get to share it with the world and to bring it to life with Playtone and HBO Max."

In September, the singer made history by tying with Thomas Rhett for entertainer of the year at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, becoming the first and only female artist to win the prestigious award three times. Meanwhile, her most recent country album, 2018's Cry Pretty, just rang in its second anniversary.
