Lauren Daigle stopped to chat with Billboard’s Keith Caulfield on the red carpet at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 10), discussing her two Grammy wins and what she learned about herself while making her album Look Up Child.
Daigle, who won both best contemporary Christian music performance/song for “You Say” and best contemporary Christian music album for Look Up Child, told Billboard that she was “going 100 miles an hour” with excitement over the news.
Asked how this past year of success has changed her career, the singer replies that she is pinching herself every single day. “We just got to do MusiCares this past week,” she says. “That was one of the most incredible things I've ever been a part of. And there are all of these different people playing there, singing there, representing Dolly Parton, so that was amazing. It's phone calls like that that you're receiving over and over, like, what in the world is going on? It's really special.”
