On a night when women took center stage in the performance lineup and in the awards circle, the golden gramophone for best country album at the 61st annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night (Feb. 10) went to Kacey Musgraves for Golden Hour.
The award was presented by Kane Brown, Meghan Trainor and best new artist nominee Luke Combs, who collectively shouted Musgraves' name as the singer made her way to the stage in a daringly short, feathery red dress.
"I never dreamed that this record would be met with such love, such warmth, such positivity. It seriously means the world to me," said a breathless Musgraves. "I love country music with everything that I am and I'm very proud to be able to get to share my version of that with the world."
