Watch Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Perform 'Despacito' at the 2018 Grammys

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee brought their monster Latin hit "Despacito" to the Grammys stage Sunday night (Jan. 28) -- a historic moment for an awards show that has enlisted less than a dozen Latin performers in the past 30 years.

Flanked by an army of shimmying dancers including Zuleyka Rivera (who you might recognize from the track's viral music video), the duo burned through the original track almost entirely in Spanish, rather than adhere to the Grammy-nominated English-speaking remix featuring Justin Bieber. But that didn't prevent the crowd from singing along to every word of the track's now-iconic chorus (, snapping videos on their iPhones or dancing in their seats, as Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend couldn't help but do.

Notably missing from the scene was remix star Bieber, who is reportedly one of several high-profile stars skipping out on the awards show altogether.

"Despacito," the remix, has broken records across Billboard charts since its March 2017 release date, notably tying Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" for longest run at No. 1 on the Hot 100. The track comes into the night with ?three Grammy nods -- record of the year, song of the year and best pop duo/group performance, though it lost the latter to Portugal. The Man's "Feel It Still."?
