2018 Grammy Nominations: Childish Gambino, Lorde, Luis Fonsi, Lil Uzi Vert Earn Nods in 'Big Four' Categories

Check out the nominees for record, album and song of the year as well as best new artist.

The "big four" categories of Grammy nominees were announced on Tuesday morning (Nov. 28) on CBS This Morning, with Childish Gambino, Luis Fonsi, Bruno Mars, Lorde and SZA leading the way in the record, song and album of the year and best new artist races. Singer Andra Day was on hand to help announce the nominations in four key categories, beginning with record of the year, which will pit the biggest single in recent memory, "Despacito," against some critical favorites from Gambino, JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar.

The lineup was pretty similar in the album of the year race, which again featured actor Donald Glover's alter ego earning plaudits for his soulful release Awaken, My Love!, as well a Jigga, Lamar, Mars and Lorde.

The race in song of the year again found "Despacito" and Jay's "4:44" in the mix, along with the songwriters for Julia Michaels' "Issues," Logic's "1-800-273-8255" and Mars' "That's What I Like."

The line-up for the coveted best new artist category was heavy on R&B and hip-hop, with Alessia Cara facing off against Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, SZA and Michaels.
