Adele Apologizes for Swearing During George Michael Tribute
Adele's 25 smash lead single "Hello" took home this year's song of the year honor at the 59th annual Grammy Awards -- allowing her to explain her language from earlier in the ceremony.
The singer -- née Adkins -- took to the stage to accept the accolade, presented by Celine Dion, following her George Michael tribute snafu that saw the Grammy darling restart the performance midway through. Apologizing for her onstage F-bomb, the singer thanked the song's co-writer Greg Kurstin for traveling back and forth to England during their writing sessions. After passing the mic to the hitmaker, the camera panned away to audible boos from the crowd, as Kurstin was unable to say his own thank-yous.
