The subversive hit may have ruffled a few feathers at country radio, but with a stint on the Hot 100 and an unexpected song of the year nomination, the single confirmed the group's hitmaker status.

Little Big Town's performance showcased the crossover potential of "Girl Crush" -- a pared-down, acoustic arrangement featured a full string orchestra in place of the band's usual plugged-in sound, showcasing Karen Fairchild's stellar voice as well as the group's signature harmonies.
