System of a Down & Tenacious D Lead 'Guitar Hero: Live' Most Played Songs in First Week

System of a Down and Jack Black's Tenacious D ruled the first week of Guitar Hero Live's 24-hour playable online music video network, GHTV, which debuted on Oct. 20.

A ranking of the 10 most-played on-demand songs offered via the game's streaming platform shows that metal and guitar-shredding rules, although pop and even folk are represented by Bruno Mars and Passenger

The ranking was provided by Activision, the game's publisher, and its developer FreeStyle Games, which created GHTV to be able to track each player's behavior in the game, gameplay trends and more. GHTV currently has more than 200 songs on tap on two channels, with plans to continually add more music and channels in the near future. 

'Guitar Hero Live' to Relaunch With Interactive Music Channel, Realistic Controller

For Ed Sheeran fans, the ginger pop star's "Sing" just missed the Top 10, as did Boston's rock anthem "More Than A Feeling" and  A Day to Remember's "Right Back At It Again." 

Here is the first week's top 10 in ascending order:

8. "Before I Forget" - Slipknot

7. "Let Her Go" - Passenger

6. "The Lazy Song" - Bruno Mars
