Flume performs onstage during the 2019 Outside Lands Music And Arts Festival at Golden Gate Park on Aug. 10, 2019 in San Francisco.

Flume, The Strokes and Tyler, The Creator will headline the 20th edition of Splendour In The Grass, Australia’s much-loved mid-winter festival.

It’s a sort of homecoming for Flume (aka Harley Streten), a New South Welshman who made his Splendour debut back in 2012, several years before his career went supernova.

Splendour 2020, held July 24-26 at North Byron Parklands, will be the electronic music producer’s only performance Down Under this year.

The timing is just right for The Strokes, whose first album in seven years The New Abnormal is scheduled to arrive in April, led by the recently released tracks “At the Door" and "Bad Decisions".

Tyler, The Creator is coming off a hot start to 2020, during which time the hip-hop star performed and collected a trophy at the 2020 Grammy Awards (best rap album for Igor), and this week stagged a Brit Award for best international male solo artist.

Also joining this year’s Splendour lineup is Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Midnight Oil (The Makarrata Project), Glass Animals, Denzel Curry, Duke Dumont Live, Violent Soho, Mura Masa, King Krule and many more.

Launched in 2001, SITG is always one of the hottest tickets on Australia’s festivals calendar. The brainchild of Secret Sounds CEOs Paul Piticco and Jessica Ducrou, Splendour is a rare mid-winter camping event, held in one of the country’s most sought-after holiday spots, Byron Bay. And the international performers are typically “in-cycle.” It’s not uncommon for the performers to test out new songs, and tickets typically sell out.

Entry isn’t cheap. A single day ticket costs Australian A$189 ($125) plus booking fees and credit card charges, while a three-day pass is priced at Australian A$399 ($265) plus fees and charges, less than a ticket for last year’s show. A “VIP Village” three-day event ticket is A$599 ($398) plus extras, also down on last year’s price.

Onsite camping is available for up to five nights. Tickets will go on sale via Moshtix from next Thursday (Feb. 27).
