In the midst of the second day of this year's Primavera Sound, the festival announced on Saturday (June 1) that indie rock pillar Pavement will be reuniting for two -- and only two -- performances in 2020.

The Portland-bred quartet will reconvene at Primavera Sound Barcelona and NOS Primavera Sound Porto in the coming year. These will serve as Pavement's sole stage commitments for 2020 according to the organizers. (Billboard has reached out to a Pavement representative for comment.)

The festival, which will celebrate its 20th outing in 2020, broke the news in Barcelona with some major talent from this year's lineup looking on.

Stephen Malkmus, Pavement's frontman, gleefully shared a photo of Pusha T watching as their reunion was announced from the wings.

2020 is shaping up to be a huge year for Primavera Sound, which will see its expansion to North America next year: Saturday also delivered the news that Primavera Sound is partnering with Los Angeles to bring the festival stateside in September.
