The first day of Coachella (Friday, April 12), saw debut sets from King Princess, Ella Mai, Rosalia and many more. Janelle Monae during her set danced onstage with Lizzo and Tierra Whack. Childish Gambino headlined. Things, for the most part, felt relatively normal. Until the end of DJ Snake's nighttime set, when he gifted the crowd with the first (and hopefully not the last) surprise of the weekend.
DJ Snake welcomed recent collaborators Selena Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna to the stage for a live performance of their hit "Taki Taki." The performance marked Gomez' return to the stage in over two years. Both Cardi B and Ozuna performed at Coachella last year. After the explosive performance that ended with glitter cannons, Gomez and Cardi B embraced in a hug.
