Brandi Carlile, The National, Matoma Among 100 Artists Tapped for 2019 Summerfest

Milwaukee’s Summerfest has announced its full 2019 lineup of over 100 artists including Grammy winner Brandi Carlile, The National, Matoma, Lizzo, Third Eye Blind, Young the Giant, Courtney Barnett and more.

The event's 52nd edition will also feature performances from Walk the Moon, Foreigner, Hanson, Steve Aoki, Neon Trees, Andrew W.K., T-Pain, Styx, Chicago, Jimmy Eat World, Lake Street Dive, Chvrches, Taking Back Sunday, The Roots, Jason Mraz, X Ambassadors, Yungblud, Cole Swindell and more.

"For 11 days on 12 stages, Summerfest delivers on its reputation as ‘The World’s Largest Music Festival,’ offering a diverse lineup of artists to our fans on Milwaukee’s lakefront,” said Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. president and CEO Don Smiley in a statement.

The 2019 Summerfest will run between June 27 and July 7 with sets from First Aid Kit, Catfish & the Bottlemen, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Big Gigantic, Reverend Horton Heat, Ludacris, The Lonely Island, Chase Rise, Sublime with Rome, Vic Mensa and Rodrigo y Gabriela.

Throughout the 11 days previously announced artists will play the newly renovated American Family Insurance Amphitheater including Billie Eilish, Phil Lesh and Friends, Jennifer Lopez, Kane Brown, Carly Pearce, Willie Nelson & Family, The Killers, Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean and more.

“The completion of the first phase of the new American Family Insurance Amphitheater will make its debut this year during Summerfest, and, immediately after the festival, work will begin on the second phase of the construction project,” said Smiley. “The grand opening of the amphitheater will take place in June 2020, at which time $148 million will have been invested in Henry Maier Festival Park in the last 15 years. We are committed to remaining a top destination for music fans worldwide, as well as a driver of $186 million dollars of economic impact for the region.”
