Woodstock 50 Reveals Jay-Z, Chance The Rapper, Dead & Company & More for 2019 Lineup

The anniversary event will also feature The Black Keys, The Killers and Woodstock 1969 alum Santana.

The Woodstock 50 anniversary festival has announced a massive list of headliners including Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper, Dead & Company, The Killers, The Black Keys and more at the event running Aug. 16-18.   

Also joining the Watkins Glen, New York, festival billing are Miley Cyrus, Robert Plant, Halsey and The Racontuers. The eclectic lineup continues with The Lumineers, John Fogerty, Run the Jewels, Imagine Dragon, Courtney Barnett, Janelle Monáe, Brandi Carlile, Cage The Elephant, Young the Giant, Sturgill Simpson, Greta Van Fleet, Margo Price and Maggie Rogers.

The extensive 2019 lineup also features a number of artists who performed at the original Woodstock festival in 1969, including members of Dead and Company, David Crosby, Santana, John Fogerty, Hot Tuna, Canned Heat and Country Joe McDonald.

Gary Clark Jr., Leon Bridges, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, Common, Vince Staples, The Head and the Heart, Princess Nokia and boygenius are all scheduled to perform as well. 

“The lineup will be a mix of some of the old bands who are still performing and a lot of new headline talent. Probably more than any other festival's ever had,” co-founder and producer of the 1969 and 2019 Woodstock festivals Michael Lang told Billboard in January. “It'll cross genres from rock to pop, folk and hip hop. It's kind of representative of this idea of engagement and trying to steer toward acts that are heavily involved in social issues. So there's some real gravitas in the performance and we want it to live on beyond the event.”

In addition to the lineup Woodstock 50 has announced its non-profit partners, including Conservation International, Dolphin Project, Felix Organization, Happy Hippie Foundation, HeadCount, Hiring America, March For Our Lives, REFORM Alliance, Seva Foundation and SocialWorks.

Lang shared that the festival will also include highly curated neighborhoods that celebrate unique experiences in all the arts -- including emerging talent, specialty food offerings, workshops and crafts -- as well as a dedicated “Kidstock” area.

Woodstock 50 will occur on the same weekend as another Woodstock anniversary festival produced by Live Nation with headliners Ringo Starr and Santana. That event will take place at the original location of the 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, New York.

Tickets for Woodstock 50 go on sale on Earth Day, April 22.
