The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival took over Las Vegas this past weekend, with two star-studded nights at T-Mobile Arena and a Daytime Stage packed with rising stars.

Billboard was in the crowd all weekend -- covering the A-list action from Mariah Carey, Childish Gambino and Kelly Clarkson on Friday and Saturday night and braving the desert heat Saturday afternoon for red-hot performances from Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Logic on the Daytime Stage -- but we were also backstage, capturing the moments you didn't see if you were in Sin City or tuning in to the live stream.

One of those backstage moments was with Justin Timberlake (photo above), who opened night 2 of the festival with an 11-song set, including a duet with Shawn Mendes on the FutureSex/LoveSounds single "What Goes Around...Comes Around." Below, find more exclusive backstage photos from Vegas, starting with JT's duet partner.

Shawn Mendes

In addition to teaming up with one of his "all-time idols," Mendes also had his own solo set, which he kicked off with "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" and wrapped with a mash-up of Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" and his own "Treat You Better."

Dustin Lynch & Carrie Underwood

Along with Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, Lynch and Underwood represented Nashville in Las Vegas. Underwood hit the main stage on Saturday night, the day before it was announced that her newest album, Cry Pretty, hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while Lynch was the lone country artist on Saturday's Daytime Stage, where he hopped outside his genre to cover Drake's "God's Plan."

Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac opened the first night and debuted a brand-new lineup on the iHeartRadio stage: Crowded House's Neil Finn and Tom Petty and Heartbreakers' Mike Campbell hit the stage in the absence of longtime guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. Below, Stevie Nicks and John McVie chat with iHeart exec John Sykes (left).

Jason Aldean & Ludacris

The pals -- who collaborated on Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem (Remix)" back in 2011 -- reunited backstage. Ludacris wasn't listed on the weekend's lineup, popping up for two surprise mini-sets Friday night. Aldean, meanwhile, performed "Dirt Road Anthem" during his set Friday night, but it was the original album version, so no Luda cameo.

Rae Sremmurd

The rap duo brought the energy to T-Mobile Arena, getting fans and non-fans alike on their feet for "Powerglide" and, of course, their Hot 100 No. 1 hit "Black Beatles."

Logic did double-duty on Saturday, closing out both the Daytime Stage in the early evening and shutting down night 2. For both performances, he brought out OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder to perform their new collaboration "One Day."

5 Seconds of Summer

5SOS held it down on the Daytime Stage, playing songs from their latest album Youngblood -- including the title track, which just cracked the Hot 100 top 10 this week -- as well as breakout hits "She Looks So Perfect" and "Amnesia."
