Barcelona festival offers 3-days of DJs at unique Bowers & Wilkins-equipped oceanside venue.

Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival will this year include a new Beach Club featuring 18 hours of electronic music daily, powered by a high fidelity, Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

The Primavera Beach Club will run June 2-4, the same days that Primavera Sound takes place at Barcleona’s nearby Parc de Forum. The Bowers & Wilkins four-speaker stack sound system made its debut at Primavera in 2014.

The label founded by Talabot’s, Hivern Discs, will present live acts by Dorisburg and Cleveland, and DJs Lena Willikens, I-F, Disco End and Daniel Baughman on June 4. Leon Vynehall, DJ Richard and Matthew Dear will be among others appearing that day.

On June 2, a DJ set from Floating Points will kick off the line up, which will include 42 DJ sets and live performances, starting each afternoon and ending at 6 am.

DJ Koze, Mano Le Tough, Simian Mobile Disco, Maceo Plex, B2B Maars, Black Devil Disco Club and Tiger & Woods have also been announced as part of the extensive three-day line up. There will also be special sets by artists who are performing at the main Primavera Sound event, or who have been regulars at the festival, including Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox and Black Lips.

“This isn’t just about party, party, party,” Primavera Sound co-director Alberto Guijarro told Billboard. “It’s more about a high-quality sound experience, featuring DJs known for a more nuanced kind of electronic music.”

The 5000 capacity pop up venue will also feature a Casa Bacardi beach bar; the alcohol brand is the the event’s co-sponsor.
