Coachella once again took to Twitter as the first place to announce its 2015 lineup back in January. After the festival kicked off this past weekend (March 10-12), there were more than 3.5 million tweets pertaining to Coachella sent during the three-day festival’s first weekend in 2015. That’s a 118 percent increase from the 1.6 million tweets that were exchanged during the festival’s first weekend in 2014, where Coachella was the most-tweeted about music festival of the year, beating out TomorrowWorld, Warped Tour and Glastonbury.

The most-mentioned artists of the weekend include Tyler, the Creator, who benefits from the release of his new solo album Cheery Bomb, which dropped the day after his 9pm Saturday set time. Tyler surprisingly beats out Drake, who was the second-most mentioned artist of the weekend, followed by The Weeknd, Jack White and Madonna, who joined Drake on stage during his set.

In the emerging artists category, FKA Twigs was the weekend’s most-mentioned, followed by Run The Jewels, Kygo, Action Bronson and Ryn Weaver.

Surprisingly, Tame Impala’s performance -- and the moment when Este Haim joined Hozier on stage during his set -- both beat out Madonna and Drake’s onstage makeout session as the most-tweeted about moment/performance for the weekend. Run the Jewels garnered the No. 4 spot on that list, followed by Porter Robison debuting a special remix of NERO's “The Thrill” during his set.
