EDC Las Vegas

After announcing its May 2021 return and then cancelling those dates shortly thereafter, EDC Las Vegas 2021 is finally ready to get the party started.

Putting the gears even more into motion, the dance music mega-festival has dropped the lineup for its Oct. 22-24 event, with more than 200 acts -- including Eric Prydz, Rezz, Deadmau5, Kygo, The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Alison Wonderland, Louis the Child, Tokimonsta and Zedd -- all scheduled to play the three-day show at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

This lineup announcement follows an encouraging few days for the global dance community. Last week, Tomorrowland 2021 took a big step forward when Belgian government approved outdoor events with up to 75,000 starting on Aug. 13. Over in Ibiza, officials announced a June 25 pilot event at the islands Hard Rock Hotel that will test safety protocols for additional outdoor events on the island, with such venues potentially opening up by mid-July depending on the results of the test run.

While a variety of relatively small-scale dance festivals have taken place throughout the United States since late April, EDC Las Vegas 2021 will be the biggest dance fest to happen in the U.S. since the beginning of the pandemic, with roughly 200,000 people expected to attend.
