Two long years ago, Diplo and Mark Ronson released a trinity of shimmery pop-leaning house songs under their Silk City alias. Teaming with vocalists Mapei, Daniel Merriweather and an about-to-blow pop star named Dua Lipa, Silk City were gone as fast as they appeared, releasing no new music after their debut.
The duo did leave an impression, however, winning the 2019 best dance recording Grammy for the bright, undeniable Lipa collab "Electricity."
Now the pair is back, with Ronson and Diplo teasing new Silk City music on Wednesday via Instagram and Twitter. A 10-second clip features a warm and synthy early '80s sounding track with visuals that simulate stepping into an empty nightclub lit by a glittering disco ball.
