Indonesia isn't exactly known as a dance music hub, but Palangkaraya-born artist Papa Khan is putting his country on the map in a big way.

The producer was recently taken under Marshmello's wing (or, ya know, helmet) after the star producer heard a clip of Papa Khan's shimmering and massive track "Rain." The buzz generated around that single when it was teased this past June inspired Marshmello to sign Papa Khan to his label, Joytime Collective.

Thus comes the next single from Papa Khan, "Blossom." Premiering exclusively on Billboard, the song is spacious, glitchy, ethereal and in possession of a legitimately unique sound that demonstrates why 'Mello is so excited about the rising producer. Listen below.

The song is the title track from Papa Khan's Blossom EP. Out Friday, the project and its two already-out singles ("Rain" and "Diary of a Poor Kid") will mark as the label's first non-Marshmello release. Like all of the music on Blossom, this title track is inspired by the producer's turbulent upbringing, his life in Indonesia and his native culture. The EP is dedicated to Papa Khan father.
