With its flagship event Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas officially off the calendar for 2020, dance festival mega-producer Insomniac has also cancelled the rest of its fall shows and announced a new event for 2021

"As you might have imagined after we moved EDC Las Vegas to May 2021, we will be shifting Nocturnal Wonderland, Escape Psycho Circus, EDC Orlando & Dreamstate SoCal to 2021 as well," Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella wrote on Instagram on August 28. "While this year has been full of ups and downs, it’s something I’ve found a lot of positivity & excitement in. This extra time to plan is going to allow us to make our 2021 events the best we’ve ever had both creatively & logistically."

This statement was followed by an announcement today (Sept. 1) that Insomniac will produce a new show, Day Trip, on July 3, 2021. Taking place at Pier 46 in Long Beach, Calif. the day-long show will feature house music on multiple stages, with the lineup yet to be announced.

Insomniac has not yet announced if its house and techno-oriented Secret Project festival, which had its second year in 2019, will be back for 2021.
