The dance word mourned the loss of Andrew Weatherall Aug. 28, after the pioneering and widely beloved U.K. DJ passed away from a pulmonary embolism at age 56.

Now, Weatherall's legacy is being extended via a tribute track by fellow English producer Daniel Avery. "Lone Swordsman" is a meditative, ambient production with a softly insistent beat and hypnotic melody that Avery made after getting the news of Weatherall's death.

“I was in my studio the morning I heard about Andrew Weatherall’s passing,” Avery says in a press release. “The track ‘Lone Swordsman’ is what formed that day. Andrew was a hero, a friend and someone who regularly reminded us all how it should be done, not to mention the funniest f--ker around. Proceeds from this record will be donated to Amnesty International in his memory. Thank you for everything.”

"Lone Swordsman" comes in conjunction with Avery's new single "Dusting For Smoke" from his latest LP, Love + Light. Listen to the track below.
