Diplo Delivers a Mechanized Edit of Glass Animals' Steamy 'Heat Waves': Listen

Diplo, a man of many hats and doer of many things, has today (August 11) done yet another thing, with a just-out edit of Glass Animals' "Heat Waves."

The song is the fourth single from the band's third album, Dreamland, released on Aug. 7. In Diplo's hands, the dreamily plaintive track is slowed down and glitched up, with the sensual warmth of the original traded for a more mechanical feeling, like robots in love.

The petite remix also shaves a full minute and forty seconds off the original.

Along with Diplo's edit, Glass Animals have released a version of the song by 19-year-old Shakur Ahmad, who won the band's remix competition with a playful, funky take on the track.
