Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas has always been high on spectacle, and even though this year's festival was forced online due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event still went harder than most, turning out one of the most highly produced dance music livestreams seen yet during quarantine.

Taking place this past weekend, (May 15-17) the Electric Daisy Carnival Virtual Rave-a-Thon featured sets from 43 artists including Zeds Dead, Kaskade, Nicole Moudaber, Zhu and many more. The event racked up over 13.2 million views over the weekend.

Performances were filmed from the Insomniac studio near Los Angeles, artists' home and worldwide nightclubs, with David Guetta performing from Liv in Miami, Afrojack at White in Dubai, Tchami inside Club Space in Miami and Malaa playing from a warehouse in Paris.

The online festival was hosted by Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella, who engaged in both responsible social distancing and some heartening pre-set chitchat with each artist. To Rotella, Seven Lions revealed that his primary quarantine projects have been gardening, setting up a chicken coop and pumping out music via his record label, Ophelia.

Tokimonsta dropped a message of hope, saying that "wherever you guys are right now, I know it may seem dark and dim but as some point we will be together again we will make it through all of this. This is not the end. Wonderful things ahead." Duke Dumont mostly let the music do the talking, saying "do you, be patient and try to be positive, but everybody has different circumstances so I'm not going to preach to anybody."
