A melody and a vocal: two components of a song that seem so simple, yet in the right hands they can turn a track into a moment that lasts long past the last note.

Will Clarke understands their importance. The Bristol-born DJ and producer has long been captivated by melodies and vocals that make him feel something, but over the years he found himself straying further and further away from that sound. He’s righting that path today (Nov. 19) with the announcement of his new record label, All We Have Is Now, exclusively on Billboard Dance.

“It's been a long time coming,” Clarke says of the venture. “I have wanted to start a label for a good couple of years now, and finally the time feels right.” The catalyst for the label, he adds, came via a revelation he experienced late last year, when he finally had the chance to sit down and write the vocal-based and more melodic music he wanted to make.

“This simple break from the restrictions that I had been feeling up to that point made me fall in love with making music all over again. Off the back of this, it provided me with a new inspiration to set some goals for the future and create a home for my new tunes.”

For now, All We Have Is Now’s release schedule is under lock and key, though a press release mentions a focus on “vocally-driven music with techno influences.” To show fans what the label’s all about, Clarke will embark next year on a North American open-to-close tour going from the end of January to mid-March, with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and other cities along the way.

“With launching the label,” says Clarke, “there is nothing I would rather do than hit the road in support of the project and an open-to-close tour feels to me to be most in line with the new label’s ethos.”

Tickets for Will Clarke’s All We Have Is Now 2020 tour will be available for presale tomorrow (Nov. 20), and will be on sale to the public on Friday, Nov. 22 through the label’s website.
