L.A. producer and fashion designer Deaton Chris Anthony has debuted a mumble-rap-esque song titled "Tony Hawk" today (Oct. 23) -- and he got Hawk to star in the video.

"I showed my friend my song," Anthony tells Billboard, "she showed Tony's son, he showed Tony, Tony followed me on Instagram, I followed him back, I DM'd him, he DM'd back, I asked if he wanted to be in my music video, he said 'yes.' One year later, we did it."

The sparse single features additional vocals from the rapper LA, and all of the colorful clothes in the clip were designed by DCA.

As for what surprised Anthony once he met Hawk in person? "Tony is taller in real life than I thought.”

"Tony Hawk" will feature on DCA's forthcoming debut LP Bo y. The song follows previously-released single "Racecar” featuring Clairo and others that better showcases DCA's skills as a producer, since this tune below is basically just a beat.

For his part, Hawk is no stranger to the music world. His Pro Skater PlayStation games turned a generation of kids onto sick dance and hip-hop in the 2000s. He also recorded the intro for RL Grime's beloved Halloween mixtape series in 2018.

You can check out the "Tony Hawk" video, directed by Jeffrey Schroeder, a day before its official release, exclusively on Billboard Dance.
