Likun Unveil Stephen King-Inspired Video For 'Paranoid': Exclusive

Experimental electronic project Likun has released its latest video "Paranoid," exclusively via Billboard today (Oct. 4).

It's a concept video inspired by Stephen King, with the goal of bringing awareness to one’s cognitive bias when dealing with mental health.

Likun was founded in the fall of 2017 by Elliott Gruenberg. Blending elements of R&B, hip hop and electronic pop, the Phoenix producer and artist teamed up with Kyle Kanzigg and Jeff Valentine's producer group Mal Compris for the newest single.

"When I was writing the treatment for this video, I was really trying to portray how altered one’s self perception could be from their outer. Throughout all aspects of the songwriting process it’s been Kyle's and my goal to not have that message deter as it all came into fruition," Gruenberg tells Billboard. "Over the years while touring, I’d always tried to use my small platform to advocate for mental health awareness. I think whatever musical project I’m a part of, advocating to have that conversation and breaking the stigma will always be part of it. "
