Whitney Houston may have passed away in 2012, but her legacy lives on today's charts thanks to a tropical house remix from dance-pop producer Kygo. His remix of her "Higher Love" cover peaked at No. 63 on the Hot 100, giving the late singer her first posthumous hit. Now, the song gets more legs with an '80s-inspired music video starring Riverdale actress Vanessa Morgan.
The clip, directed by Hanna Lux Davis, features Morgan as a leg warmer-wearing dancer with big hair and jazzercise style. She and her dance class catch the attention of some mischevious males, and the rest is dirty dance perfection. The retro fashion and kitschy cheese is a loving homage to Houston's breakout era.
"Higher Love" was originally released by Steve Winwood in 1986, giving the smoky singer his first No. 1 on the Hot 100.
