Nero has long been known for massive, hard-hitting dance music, but today founding member Joseph Ray is demonstrating a softer side with the release of two new tracks, "Room 1.5" and Chem-Ex."

Beyond a 2017 collaborative track with Meli, these tracks are Ray's first solo release outside of Nero, the Grammy-winning trio Ray co-founded alongside Dan Stephens in the early 2000s. Dreamy and spacious affairs, "Room 1.5" and "Chem-Ex" are bult for those deep, dark hours of the night when the mainstage show is over and the true dancefloor die-hards are getting ready to greet the sunrise.

"This track was inspired by my days listening to jungle...fuzzy memories from the London nights when I got into dance music," Ray is quoted in a press release in regards to "Room 1.5. "Those sounds and atmospheres have never really left me and this is my homage to them."

This "double-single" project is out today (August 20) via Anjunadeep. Listen below.
