Australia's electronic music scene has been a worldwide beacon for energy and futuristic taste. Even its nightclub lockout laws can't stop the momentum, and Festival X -- a new dance and hip-hop festival coming to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne -- is the latest mouth-watering boom.

Festival X is set to bring top-tier talent to all three cities over three consecutive days. First, it comes to Brisbane, Nov. 29, then Sydney on Nov. 30, and Melbourne to finish on Nov. 31. Of course, it's the lineup that matters most, and Festival X can boast in its innagural year a rare headline performance from Calvin Harris, a set from trance icon Armin van Buuren, as well as a set from south Florida rapper Lil Pump.

Dance fans will stoked to see Aussie heroes Alison Wonderland and Anna Lunoe on the lineup, as well as Steve Aoki, Tchami, CamelPhat, Cosmic Gate, Kolsch and Nic Fanciulli. Trippie Redd holds it down for the rap contingent. All artists appear at all dates, excluding those marked on the flyer with a star.

Tickets for the first year of Festival X go on Optus pre-sale Monday through Wednesday, July 29 to 31. Hardware, Onelove and Live Nation Australia presale runs Wednesday, July 31, with general sales to follow Thursday, Aug. 1. Visit Festival X online for more info.
