Sofi Tukker have a stacked schedule this festival season, but summer doesn't have an exclusive on dance parties, so the Grammy-nominated duo has announced a world tour for this fall. It's called R.I.P. Shame, and it's set to follow a new body of work. Who's in the mood for a forthcoming release?
The name of the tour is meant to inspire joyous abandon. A press release quotes the group as calling it "a mission to kill shame one loose dance party at a time." As in the past, Sofi Tukker teamed with the plus1 initiative, which donates a dollar from every ticket sold to a charity effort. The R.I.P. Shame World Tour will benefit mental health initiatives. Previous tours have supported Planned Parenthood and the Trevor Project. Attendees will also have the chance to register to vote with on-site members of the nonprofit organization Head Count.
