Brian Eno to Receive Stephen Hawking Medal for 'Science Communication'

Brian Eno is famous for his productions with David Bowie, U2, Jon Hopkins and more, but now, he will be recognized for his contributions to science. According to Pitchfork, he’s scheduled to receive the Stephen Hawking Medal at this year’s Starmus science and music festival in Switzerland.

Eno’s award is in honor of his contributions to “science communication.” Elon Musk will also be honored. Previous recipients include Jean-Michel Jarre, Hans Zimmer and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
