Boombox Cartel & MadeinTYO Skrt On The Beat In 'New Wip': Exclusive

Rollin' off the lot in a "New Wip" is a mood. You're cool, you're flashy, and you're at least paid enough to afford a clean car. You have to test the speakers and show off your candy paint, and for that moment, Boombox Cartel and MadeinTYO have cooked up a funky trunk-rattler with a slight hint of summer psychedelia.

"New Wip" is fly for sure. It's got enough cartoonish color to satisfy the freaks while delivering 808 trap for hard types. It's even got a touch of dubstep in its crunchy mechanical breaks. MadeinTYO's verses drip a recklessly-affluent, devil-may-care kind of attitude. This new car is just today's car, so don't get too attached to it. This beat is just today's beat, too.

"I got a lot more bops on the way this summer," Cartel tells Billboard Dance, "and they’re all different vibes, so don’t be alarmed."

Trade in that lease and roll the windows down for this one. "New Wip" is out in full on Mad Decent on Thursday (May 9), but you can listen to it a day early, exclusively on Billboard Dance.
