Is there anything more graceful and dazzling than an old-school trance vibe? When celestial synths float over heart-quickening beats, it sends you to some blissful place inside, all at once alone nd peaceful but somehow connected to everyone in the room.

That's the kind of trance Ferry Corsten's Gouryella project creates. The alias began in the mid-'90s as a collaboration with Tiësto, and Corsten brought it back in 2017 to much fan appreciation. In 2018, Corsten focused on collaborative efforts around the theme of unity but now, he's ready to give Gouryella another spin with a song called "Surga."

The driving beat is relentless, pumping a steady tempo for the rhythmic key melody to dance to while ethereal effects shimmer and swirl in the air. "Surga" is Gouryella's first single since 2017's "Venera [Vee's Theme]."

“After taking a break from Gouryella to concentrate on unity and other solo projects, the time felt right to release another single," Corsten tells Billboard Dance. While I am focused on new music and exploring different sounds, It’s a project that will always be close to my heart and something my fans are always requesting, so I’m excited to share it with everyone."

"Surga" is out everywhere Friday, May 3, but you can listen to it a day early below, exclusively on Billboard Dance.
