It's been a decade since Calvin Harris' 2009 single "I'm Not Alone," the first from his breakout album Ready For The Weekend, entered the world. That album introduced what would become his signature sound for the next few LPs; infectious grooves and melodies bolstered by cascading white noise with earworm vocals. "I'm Not Alone" perfectly encapsulates this sound and the 2009 era. It's got the glowing feelings of big room house, but it's tempered with the intimacy of clubs before the overwhelming "EDM" explosion.

It was before all the famous friends and Rihanna features. Harris originally sang this one himself, and he gives a new four-song package (out today, April 5) half its goodness with a modern edit and an original remaster. The package was teased with a video early this week of Harris' dropping CamelPhat's deep remix on a crowd in Vegas. That brooding take opens the package, followed by the Harris edit and a psychedelic acid house rework from German producer Thomas Schumacher. It finishes with the 2009 remaster, so you can celebrate with your old friend and get that warm, nostalgic feeling.

Ready For The Weekend went on to be his international breakthrough. Its successor 18 Months launched him into the pop landscape.
