Producer and songwriter SG Lewis tapped singer-songwriter Clairo for another collaboration -- this time, for a dreamy, electro-pop track called “Throwaway,” released on Friday (March 15).

With softly-textured synths in the background, Clairo’s silky vocals give the mellow tune a lullaby-esque feel. “Baby, take my hand and I'll show you the way/ Bring you a little closer, tell you it's okay/ I don't wanna be something you can throw away,” she sings on the melodic chorus.

The track is the follow-up to the duo's first collaboration, 2018’s “Better." In a press release, Lewis explained how the song came about. “‘Throwaway’ was written in LA one evening,” Lewis said. “We were both super tired and had some shit going on in our respective personal lives. We sat and talked for ages, and after that ‘Throwaway’ flowed out in no time at all. Clairo is such a special artist and an incredible songwriter, and I'm super proud of this song.”

The track follows Lewis’ second single “Blue,” off of his second album Dawn -- the third and final installment of his three-part concept record, Dusk, Dark, Dawn. He is set to take the stage at this year’s Coachella on April 12 and 19.
