Duke Dumont Takes Us Back to the Playground on 'Red Light Green Light'

Everybody remembers Red Light, Green Light, the childhood game in which we froze like statues on red and ran like hell on green. On Friday (Feb. 22), Duke Dumont offers an adult version of the game with his latest track, “Red Light Green Light.”

The darkly alluring club banger features vocals from actor, dancer, musician and high-fashion model Shaun Ross, a veteran of New York’s ballroom scene. On the track, Ross notes that “we know we’ve all been through kindergarten, people, so we know what a red light and green light is” and “when the strobe light hits, I want you to move like this.” The beat then launches into an acid-infused build and bass-heavy breakdown that proves Dumont came to play.

“Red Light Green Light” continues the London house producer’s For Club Play Only series, which is released on Dumont’s Blasé Boys Club label. Hear it below:
