Major Lazer featuring Tove Lo, "Blow That Smoke"

Who here remembers the old VH1 program Pop-Up Video? It played classic and modern hits with additional fun facts that "popped up" on screen in colorful bubble texts. Major Lazer and Tove Lo are old enough to remember, and they bring the awesome idea back in an updated version of their hotel-centric "Blow That Smoke" music video.

In this clip, we learn a lot about the DADS, the directorial duo who brought Tove Lo's video concept to life. The Dads have previously worked on Dillon Francis' "Hello There" and Phantoms' "Lay With Me." Turns out one of them shot the whole thing with his shirt either unbuttoned or off entirely. The video was filmed at Harry Houdini's Los Angeles mansion. Diplo had extensions put in for the shoot. It took 90 minutes for his braids to get braided just right.

The clip is full of fun facts you can spit out at friends next time you watch the regular version or even listen to the song. They'll all think your some kind of pop culture genius. Watch enough pop up videos, and you might grow up to be a music journalist. It worked for us.

Get started with the fun with the "Blow That Smoke" pop up version below.
