Trance is back, baby, and no one is happier about that than the trance gods, among whom Paul van Dyk is a brilliant beacon. The German DJ and producer released his first album in 1994 and continues to push the genre and the world of electronic music at large to greener pastures and more exciting frontiers.

Inspired by a new generation of trance enthusiasts, van Dyk is ready to release his ninth studio album, Music Rescues Me. It's a back-to-roots vibe with modern innovations. He released the lead single title track in September, and now, he follows it up with a pounding club buster called "Accelerator."

The aptly titled single is a rush of melody and rhythm featuring additional production from van Dyk's friend and British peer Jordan Suckley. It'll definitely get you sweating on the dance floor and should whet fans' appetite ahead of Music Rescues Me's full release Friday.

"Accelerator" is out everywhere Thursday, but you can listen to it in full below, exclusively on Billboard Dance.
